  • Finish communal structure

    Type of activity: 
    Construction

     We build a pole structure to offer shelter from the sun and from rain. This structure will now be prepared to become a real cosy covered area for communal use at Tribodar, that can also be used in the winter.

    Mainly it will be necessary to find a way to fill up the gaps between the poles in a solid, waterproof and insulated way.

    Later we will put a stove for heating during the winter.

    Tribodar é um projecto na Natureza relacionado com PERMACULTURA e CREATIVIDADE, onde as pessoas podem ajudar e realizar diferentes projectos ecológicos e artisticos, um local que permite sonhar e viver em alegria. Está dividido em quatro areas: construcção ecológica, jardim ecológico, floresta de comida e actividades artisticas.

    Open Permaculture session @ Tribodar: Design of the farm terrain
    From 6-7 March 2010

    Tribodar is a project in nature related to PERMACULTURE and CREATIVITY, where people can realize different ecological and artistic projects, a place to dream and enjoy. It is divided in four areas: eco-building, ecological gardening, food forest and artistic activities. (see www.tribodar.com for a more complete description)

  • Build dog shed with green roof

    As we recently got a little puppy, and it has no real shelter yet, we are planning to make a dog shed in front of the house. As we want to start working with green roofs soon, we will use this technique for the shed, so we can get a first experience. At one edge we will use a plexiglass bord so the structure of the little roof remains visible.

    For the floor we have the leftovers of our pine flooring from the bedroom, so it will become a realy VIP dog shed : ) (or was that VID)

  • Make design for the permaculture garden at Tribodar Semente

    To be able to start working in a sensible way, we are starting to design our permaculture garden on the 0.75 ha piece of land at Tribodar Semente. We have held a collective design session on 6-7 March, where we have defined the main elements to include in the design of the terrain.

  • Creating raised beds

    Type of activity: 
    Agriculture

    We have started to make our vegetable garden. We have made a raised bed with keyhole, irrigated with drop irrigation.We are working on a sunk bed, but we are still uncertain whether that will be possible because of the undeep soil.More vegetable beds will need to be made, so if you feel like trying... you'll be more than welcome.
