PERMACULTURE and CREATIVITY MEETING Nisa, at the project Tribodar
From 10 to 13 June, 2010
At the Permaculture meeting held at the Agronomics faculty of Lisbon, in October, a next meeting was scheduled in Nisa.
Objective of the meeting
The objective of this meeting is to connect people who are getting closer to nature and to share ideas, projects and knowledge in the fields of Permaculture and Creativity.
The meeting will be what we make of it. We are the meeting : )
Local
The meeting will take place close to Nisa village in Tribodar project, a project that is putting seeds to grow into a space of Permaculture and Creativity.

Structure
This is a sharing meeting that counts with the participation, in some way, of the participants. The habitants and collaborators of the project Tribodar are already putting their efforts, with joy to organize this event.

Inscriptions
The inscriptions for the Permaculture and Creativity Meeting in the project Tribodar are already open until 1 June.

ATENTION: There will be a limit of inscriptions (Infrastructure reasons). Only people that made an inscription can come to the meeting! We ask that people interested make their inscription as soon as possible to help us organizing.
Adults:
- 10 euros day
- 30 euros (if you inscribe the 4 days)
Children:
- 5 euros day
- 15 euros (if you inscribe the 4 days)

Children under 4 do not pay!
(In the price there are included the vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), the participation in the activities and the use of the installations. The drinks will be sold separately at a low price (Of course no artificial and from multinational drink, just fresh juices and infusions). Alcoholic drinks will be sold in moderation just at the TRIBAL PARTY evening.

- Seed Camp (Help from 4 to 9 June, in the kitchen and construction team (building dry toilets and solar showers) to create the best conditions to the meeting). Everybody with ideas and accessories to make decoration are also very welcome! During this week we will also show at night Permaculture Videos and have Jams with music and dance : ) During this week we provide the food.

we encourage people not to bring dogs! It can give much confusion between dogs and during the workshops, etc. If you really really have to bring your dog he should stay in the parking, outside of the field of the meeting, witch is also nice Nature :)

My proposal is the creation of a garden of smells in the shape of a spiral, as this allows anyone to get aromas, textures, collors, tastes... in a tiny spot, like a veranda, or a window pane.
A garden of smells is a feest for the senses. It is so good to smell, see, hear, touch and eat. It is a magical sensation to smell the aromas of the plants who contain essential oils.

The workshop starts with a two hours demonstration of the general principles of building with natural stones and the preparation of lime based wall cover.

After this introduction, two hours of practice follow during which the participants get familiar with the technique and they can learn how to overcome the encountered difficulties.
Target: the owners of Tribodar have to choose the type of construction they want to erect and provide stones to make it: a seat, a wall, or a little shed, if there are many participants.

Discussion about the future of the permaculture community in Portugal. Following up the idea to create a permaculture association, that has been discussed in Lisbon, we look to a way forward in formalizing the permaculture community. We will reconsider which would be the best way to do this. The decision structure will be discussed as well as the proposal for the GAPP (Grupo de Acção Portugues de Permacultura), as well as the roll a website with a database could play (being developed by Michael and José), as discussed at the Lisbon meeting.

Two hours of practice, where crude lime will be prepared for use followed by the painting of some walls.
The participants will be able to try several lime mixtures to get familiar with the material and it’s possibilities.
